SPEECH AND LANGUAGE

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE DELAYS
Speech and language delays in children involve a slower-than-expected development of communication skills for their age.

DYSFLUENCIES
Dysfluencies refer to disruptions or interruptions in the natural flow of speech. These disruptions can manifest as repetitions of sounds, syllables, or words, prolongations of sounds, or instances of blocking where speech is temporarily halted.

CHILDHOOD APRAXIA OF SPEECH (CAS)
CAS is a motor speech disorder that affects a child's ability to plan and coordinate the movements necessary for accurate speech production. Unlike other speech disorders, CAS is not caused by muscle weakness or paralysis but rather by difficulties in the brain's planning and sequencing of muscle movements for speech.

CHILDHOOD FEEDING DISORDERS
Childhood Feeding Disorders refer to conditions where children experience challenges related to eating and consuming an appropriate variety or quantity of food to support their growth and development.
